Clients ask: How do I gain a following on the Internet? The short answer is Be Yourself!

There’s  no doubt that written content is Queen when it comes to browser visibility. Traffic, however, is King. In most cases, it takes written content to index your site properly and begin to acquire the traffic of your target demographic. Having said that, if your content is not engaging, your visitors will bounce out quickly. This is nearly as damaging as never having visitors in the first place! The best way to gain a following is to find a genre of content development that leverages your gifts. If you are a fantastic prolific writer, then writing is the best way to gain and audience and build your brand/business. However, if you are comfortable on camera, set up your iphone and start talking!  If you’re comfortable with audio, and have a great voice for radio…use that medium! I have clients who use each type of communication to effectively grow their business and build their brand. The bottom line is, the most authentic people (no matter how weird, silly, or eccentric) are by far the most successful. Be yourself!
